Meet the Teachers
Welcome to POD 6C! We couldn't be more excited to begin the middle
school journey with your child. We understand how important this
transition is and want to make it the best possible experience for
each and every student.

Mrs. Chronopoulos
I am the proud mom of four awesome kids. I have a 7 year old daughter in Grade 2, a six year old son in Grade 1, a 4 year old son in kindergarten, and a 3 year old daughter who started preschool this year. Our family spends a lot of time outdoors. We love camping, swimming, playing sports, reading, playing board games, travelling, and watching movies together.
I am a caring, outgoing, athletic individual who is passionate about working with kids, both in the classroom and while coaching. Growing up I played competitive basketball and soccer and my husband and I play on a co-ed soccer league in the spring. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Abbotsford 8 years ago. It goes without saying that I am a fan of all Chicago teams...The Bears, The Bulls, The Cubs and yes, much to my husband's dismay ....the Blackhawks!
I am graduate of DePaul University, I have a Masters Degree in Teaching and Leadership and I am currently working on a diploma in inclusive education through Vancouver Island University. My teaching career began in 2002 and while the majority of my career has been in a middle school classroom, I also have experience in PE and in Learning Services. My heart is in the middle school setting where I feel my services have the most impact on students as they transition through adolescence.
I am an advocate for differentiated instruction in order to meet the diverse needs in the classroom. I believe that all kids can learn and I am dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive.

Ms. Prysunka
I am mother to 3 beautiful children. My son is 6, Grade 1, and my daughters are 4 (Kindergarten), and 2 (thinks she's in Kindergarten). We are an adventure seeking family, whether it's kayaking or paddle boarding at the lake, attending whatever festivities we can find or exploring in the backyard - it's always an adventure with 3. Over the summer we welcomed 2 black English Labs to our family which has added to the excitement of our daily adventures.
I would describe myself as a cheerful, reliable and confident individual. I have been involved in athletic programs my whole life. I not only participated in school sports but I also became heavily involved in playing competitive community soccer and fastpitch softball. My love for sports has continued as I am a coach and love to cheer for my favorite teams. Go Canucks Go! SEA---HAWKS! Hey Chicago, what do you say...the Cubs are going to win today...Go Cubs Go...Go Cubs Go...
I am a graduate of Simon Fraser University. I have completed a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Supporting Diverse Learners, a Bachelor of Education degree with a minor in Learning Disabilities, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Geography. I began my teaching career in 2009 and have been a teacher in both the regular classroom and within the learning services department.
I value the individuality of all students and as such, I am committed to creating learning opportunities that target the needs of all my students. My educational philosophy continues to be inspired by the words of Robert Lavoie when he states, "There is nothing so unequal as the equal treatment of un-equals. Fairness does not mean that everyone gets the same, that's equality. Fairness means that everyone gets what he/she needs." I strive to build confidence in my students and inspire them to take risks.
